Members of the Basketmakers’ Association based in the United Kingdom can purchase product and public liability insurance through the Basketmakers’ Association for the very reasonable price of £25 per annum.

Who is eligible?

Any fully paid up member of the Basketmakers’ Association domiciled in the United Kingdom, providing:

  • the member does not trade as a limited company, limited liability partnership, community interest company or any similar incorporated entity;
  • the member does not have any employees on a full-time or part-time basis or engage any freelance workers on a labour only basis;
  • the member does not trade out of a permanent retail premises other than a market stall or similar type arrangement.

  • Designing
  • Making
  • Exhibiting
  • The display and sale of baskets and related crafts including sculpture, chair-seating (including repair work) and hurdle making
  • Fence making
  • The teaching and demonstration of basketmaking, chair-seating and similar craftmaking skills.

How do I get it?

You have to be a member to qualify and it can be added at the time of joining or at a later date.
