I have been making baskets full time since 1985, I trained in Norfolk apprenticed to Terry Bensley and learnt a full range of domestic, agricultural and fishing industry baskets. I have since gone on to work with various other professional makers in France and Spain learning European techniques which I now incorporate into our traditional and contemporary designs. I have been growing willows since in 1997.
Teaching courses since 1989. Now resident in France I continue to make baskets from our own willows and run a small programme of residential courses every year. I also offer one to one tuition for basket makers considering the craft as a full time occupation.
