After a 2 day workshop at Bore Place in 1995, and coming home with a wobbly willow cherry picker, I developed a passion for basketmaking. Developing my own skills initially from books and practice I met Jack West a second generation basketmaker in Guildford after finding his details in the Shires booklet on basketry. I was fortunate to spend 6 years with Jack before his death in 2005, who was keen to share his knowledge and skills, as his passion for basketmaking remained until he died. He taught me traditional methods and techniques he had learned and developed over the years.

I work from my home near Midhurst, West Sussex, attending Petworth Farmers Market and other local fairs. I am continually inspired by the process of turning a bundle of rods and sticks into a beautiful useful item to last for years.

I run courses on basketmaking, both one and two day workshops.
