Hazel basketry workshop

Join me for a two day course in hazel basketry at Westonbirt Arboretum.

Using a knife and your knee, I’ll teach you all you need to know to coax weaving strips, ribs and a frame from a hazel rod.

We’ll each make one of my Alba berry baskets, a pattern I discovered on a research trip to Romania and have refined into this design.

We’ll be based at the coppice restoration project at Westonbirt Arboretum, the workplace of Brian Williamson, West Country Coppice.
