Willow Basket making workshop day

Spend a lovely day learning how to make a berry or a round basket in willow. A berry basket is the ideal beginner’s basket. You will learn how to weave the willow base, then how to add in the uprights, attach the base to the side using a waling weave. After weaving the sides of the basket, you will then find out how to make a simple border to finish your weave off, and attach a bow handle.

Or if you have done basket making before, or you are fairly crafty, learn how to make the next step, a round basket, with two different weaves on the side and a rod border to finish it off. Great for eggs, socks, fruit, whatever you fancy!   Light refreshments available, bring a pack lunch. Tools provided, willow will be included in your ticket price of £90 per head.
