Anna Stickland

I completed the City and Guilds professional Basketry course in July 2019.  My background is as an outdoor instructor, and my local landscape of the Brecon Beacons is very important to me and my work - both in terms of inspiration, the ability to grow my own willow organically, and in incorporating found objects to my work.  I sell via my website, permanently have stock in the National Park Visitors Centre, in local galleries and at shows and festivals.  I also accept commissions.

I came to basketry via forestry and working for the Smallwoods Association, running projects across South Wales in coppicing, woodland management, green woodwork, health and wellbeing, and heritage crafts.  I still provide workshops for them and other organisations, as well as private tuition in my garden workshop.
