Rainy Williamson

Rainy Williamson runs Cherry Tree Willow in Ainsworth, on the border of Bury and Bolton, where she grows over 14 varieties of willow. She teaches seasonal craft based workshops and produces willow basketry on a wholesale basis for the floristry and horticultural trades.

Rainy has been growing and using willow since 2006 and sells cuttings of some of her willow varieties, along with potted trees and woven living willow designs and is authorised by APHA to issue plant passports. 

With over 30 years teaching experience, Rainy offers a variety of natural, seasonally led, craft based workshops.

Currently studying CGLI L2 Basketry at Westhope College.

When not outside with willow or flowers, Rainy can usually be found knitting. She kept sheep for 10 years whose fleece she used for hand spinning.
