Izzy Adams
Standford Road, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 BiographyI learned basket weaving from my mum, whose hands first showed me the rhythm and patience of the craft. Since then, weaving has become a way for me to stay grounded — working with natural materials, connecting with the land, and finding presence in the quiet, repetitive motion.
For me, basket weaving isn’t just about making something useful — it’s about slowing down, working with intention, and building a relationship with nature through our hands.
As a teacher, I hope to share that connection. My aim is to guide others in discovering the calm, focus, and creativity that this practice can bring — and to spark a renewed appreciation for working with the natural world.
