Biography

I make baskets with pine needles, a craft that is more often seen in North America,  which I learned while living in... Fiji!

Now back in the UK, I have found generous trees with long needles and will be able to continue making baskets.

Weaving with pine needles is an ancient craft that involves coiling and stitching techniques. It's easy to create intricate patterns using a variety of stitches, and the work can be beautifully embellished with beads and other decorative elements. This slow, meditative craft fosters both creativity and a sense of calm

I run workshops and make baskets on commission.
