Caz Ingall

Although I do also make smaller baskets (mainly to commission), since 2020 my passion for weaving is in making willow coffins.  I started Wild Heart Coffins that year, after being taught by the wonderful Mel Bastier, and now regularly make coffins out of my workshop just outside Leamington Spa.  I am particularly keen to get families involved in helping with some of the weaving, knowing how much it helps people in their grieving process.  I also teach other basketmakers how to make coffins.

Outside of willow work, I am the co-guardian of our organic family farm here in Warwickshire, alongside my husband, Tom, where (amongst many other things) we are tending to newly rewilding land.  We are both passionate about (re)connecting people with nature and support numerous projects on the farm that seek to engage people in our local community in nature-based activities.
