Hannah Cook

I am a seat weaver working primarily with seagrass, rush, and Danish cord.

I began seat weaving while working in fashion design and bring an appreciation for texture, colour, and materiality to my work with chairs.

Alongside restoring traditional frames, I also design and make my own, allowing for more experimental pieces.

Sustainability is central to my practice — I am currently developing a fully organic seagrass supply and exploring new methods of producing cordage from English rush.
