Hazel Godfrey

I am a contemporary basketmaker. My inspiration comes from nature, landscape, and the human condition. I graduated in 2004 with a degree in Applied Arts - 3D Media and began working professionally with willow in 2008.

I have made commissioned work in willow on all scales for a variety of clients and organisations, also sculptural forms for interiors, as well as functional and decorative work for gardens.

I teach a range of beginners willow workshops, also short courses using a variety of natural materials.

Latterly my work has broadened to focus more on sculptural form and metaphor using natural materials and found items to create structures of interest and meaning.

I exhibit and make work for sale through galleries, fairs and from my studio.
