I love all things craft - hence my business name Crafty as Hel ~ Ynys Mon. I am a beekeeper and basketmaker living and working from my home in North Wales.

My obsession with willow and baskets began innocently in 2018 just after moving to Anglesey from Leicester, needing a log basket for our new home I bought a kit online and I was hooked. I have always loved creating, making and doing things myself and basketry allows me to be creative.

In March 2022 I planted a willow maze and now grow over 50 varieties for use in my baskets and hope to become self-sufficient in willow. I became a full-time basketmaker in October 2022, making and selling locally, delivering regular workshops and talks/demo's. 

I love using my basketry skills to offer solutions which have a minimal impact on the environment but also look beautiful.
