In the winter 2022-2023  i was involved in a local project initiated by the Essex Heritage Work Boats in collaboration with the Mersea Island Museum and local community to research and make a critically endangered basket - (working) Mersea Oyster Tendle alongside original historic Mersea Oyster Tendles by a primary named maker. The replica basket was displayed in the BA Heritage Basket exhibition - Tear Up Festival, Ruthin Craft  Centre and The Harley Gallery. 

This winter 2024-2025, The project group is ongoing, as we continue our research to improve our experience and knowledge of making a traditional heritage Mersea Oyster Tendle from elm, and putting it to use.
