West Moss-side Organic Farm, Thornhill, Stirling, FK83QJ Biography

I have been weaving with materials from West Moss-side Organic Farm and Flanders Moss National Nature Reserve for several decades. I am passionate about the land, the soil and the diversity of plant material available to connect with and weave with.   The process of weaving accentuates  the interconnedness of everything both in the present and tangible, and the spirits and intangible essence of past hands.  I make traditional and contemporay baskets as well as wall hangings and sculptures

Currently I am exploring working with bark and am fascinated by the traditions and skills of the NW Pacific First Nations.

I farm West Moss-side Organic Farm with the principles of regenerative agriculture and have been rewilding for many years.

I run workshops and events from the renovated steading and hay loft, where there is a semi permanaent dsplay of my work and my partner's paintings.  We are part of the West Moss-side Collective and host an annual exhibiion with the Open Studios Strlingshire.
