Kim Winter

Inspired to learn more about basketry by a family gift of a Japanese bamboo basket, Kim completed the two-year course in basketry at City Lit in London in July 2022. She enjoys using basketry techniques to create contemporary sculptural work, and in 2021 won the contemporary category in the Basketry of the Year competition organised by the Worshipful Company of Basketmakers. She exhibits regularly with the Prism Textiles group.

Kim teaches creative basketry classes at Morley College near Waterloo.
