Rosie Larmour jones

Living in mid Wales,  I've been working with willow for many years. I enjoy making traditional and innovative pieces, and have recently completed  my level 2 City and Guilds in basketry. 

I rent a studio at Y Dolydd in Llanfyllin, where I teach and produce my own unique baskets. I use local willow as well as Somerset varieties. Spending the winter months cutting and grading willow, and stripping willow in the summer months.

I  have exhibited my sculptural willow in the Dolydd Gallery. My work is also available at Oriel Awen Gallery in Llanfyllin, Tymhorau Cymru in Machynlleth and Dragons craft shop in llanrhaeadr ym mochnant. 

I am inspired by the colours in nature, the welsh hills, and organic shapes.

Willow is a beautiful, forgiving, abundant and tactile natural material.  Sustainable and carbon capturing, making it important in all our futures.
