Always a tree lover, making baskets out of the earths bounty is what I am about. Now fortunate to make it my full time endeavour, teaching and making in order to share with and enlighten the Canadian masses is my life’s journey. I work mostly in willow but have expertise in birch bark, black ash, pine needle and reed basketry. I have a home studio and just opened the Helyg Gallery here along the Nova Scotia Sunrise Trail and have partnered with Big Barn Little Farm to start a school of basketry.
