As we mark our 50th anniversary, we’re growing fast and looking for a skilled Admin Officer to help us thrive. This flexible, home-based role is a great opportunity to be part of a creative and welcoming community.
Admin Officer
- £7,500 per annum
- Self employed
- Home Working
- Flexible working/ 300 hours per annum. (expected to be 6 hours per week with flexibility for busy periods)
- Length of Contract: 12 month self employed contract with potential to extend
- Own laptop and internet access required
Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Admin Officer to support our fast growing Membership Organisation. This role will be an integral part of the organisation, handling our day-to-day IT administration, events and communication with members. This is a part-time home-based role, working alongside the BA IT lead.
Responsibilities
- Document management: Have a lead role in overseeing the organisations electronic administration (i.e. Google Drive). Create, organize, and store documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Communication: Administer incoming and outgoing communications with members to include:-
- Handle emails, and social media enquiries
- Mailchimp
- 3 yearly pdf journals
- interim emails
- collate and send out e-news
- chase and collate articles – e-news/ URLs…
- identify and collate dates for the diary
- Social media admin
- Liaise with content editors
- Create posts
- Website admin
- monitor
- what’s on section and approvals
- update help section
- contact us forms
- respond to requests to webadmin@
- engaging new members to use website
- blog and news posts on website
- removing leaving members from website
- supporting members with problems with the website
- monitor
- Event planning:
- Talks and AGM – Oversee recording, editing, upload to YouTube
- Schedule meetings, conferences, and events such as the AGM
- Supporting the events team with bookings/ Liaise with tutors
Person Specification
- Good organisational skills
- Broad range of admin skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Great Social Media skills, knowledge and experience
- IT skills including
- Websites (WordPress)
- Mailchimp
- Google drive
- Microsoft Office
- Be sensitive to the particularity of a Membership organisation
- Able to meet deadlines & multi-task
- Need to be flexible and prepared to take on new things
- Be proactive and able to use own initiative
- Work within GDPR and other relevant legislation
