Weave a rush shoulder bag/purse
By Hermione of Weaving In The Wild
Spend two days learning how to weave your own rush purse or shoulder bag.
You will learn how rush is harvested and prepared for weaving and make your own shoulder bag on a block/mould. This is an opportunity to learn a wide range of techniques and a variety of side weaves. There will be an option to add a leather shoulder strap (purchased from me on the day for an additional fee of £10), or to plait your own rush strap if time permits. The workshop is suitable for beginners, and those with some basket weaving experience.
The course is taking place in The Nest at Whitmuir Farm Shop and Café – an excellent venue. Hot drinks will be provided. There is very good café and deli on site, although you are also welcome to bring your own packed lunch
