The benefits of BA membership include:

Members receive a quarterly newsletter that contains interesting articles about basketmaking and chair seating, makers, courses, with reviews of exhibitions, events and books. Members can advertise in the newsletter at reduced rates. Please click to read a recent NEWSLETTER.

Members can attend BA courses, at York in the Spring and at Westhope in the Autumn.

Members of more than two years standing can apply for a range of bursaries. More information on BURSARIES.

Members are able to purchase a wide range of books and DVDs.

Members have access to the BA Archive based in Oxford, a wonderful resource for all things about basketry and chair seating.

Members can upgrade to Enhanced Membership with the advantages of Product and Public Liability Insurance.

Membership Rates

UK Individual £25.00 UK includes England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, and the Channel Islands.
Eire counts as Europe.
UK Joint (two sharing an address, one newsletter) £32.00 UK includes England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, and the Channel Islands.
Eire counts as Europe.
EU Individual £28.00 The EU category is defined by postage rates rather than politics or geography and includes all member states of the European Union, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, all states of the former Yugoslavia, Russia and all states of the former Soviet Union.
EU Joint (two sharing an address, one newsletter) £35.00 The EU category is defined by postage rates rather than politics or geography and includes all member states of the European Union, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, all states of the former Yugoslavia, Russia and all states of the former Soviet Union.

The membership year runs from 1st January to 31st December. You may join at any time, but part payments are not accepted, nor refunds given. Those joining after the AGM in October will receive the remainder of that year plus the following year for the first membership subscription.

By becoming a member of The Basketmakers’ Association you understand and accept that any information about you will be held on a secure database under the rules of the Data Protection Act and will be for exclusive use by the BA, who undertake not to disclose this information to any other persons without your prior written consent.

Renewing Membership

Members with a current or expired online account should use the RENEWAL FORM rather than the membership method(s) listed above.

An online account is considered to be any membership of the BA that was used to access this website. If you are unsure about your membership type &/or which renewal method you should use, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
