The Basketmakers’ Association Spring School was held in Harrogate Ladies College between 7 – 12 April 2024.
There were a series of talks held by the tutors on a wide range of topics.

The first of these talks was by Sue Kirk on how she was inspired by Stanislaw Dziubak who invented the Polish asymmetric basket

 
 
Our next talk was by Mary Crabb who was the tutor running the Twining – exploring surfaces and enclosed forms course.
Mary spoke about her involvement in the Forces in Translation project.

Rachel Hutton who was running The Basketmakers’ Toolkit course was showing attendees how to clean and sharpen their tools.

 
 
Lewis Goldwater did a great talk about Identifying trees in Winter. He has also been kind enough to give us the presentation, whisket making workshop resources and a guide to common conifers in Winter.
