2 Day Oval Basket Workshop Wednesday 18th & Thursday 19th September

Create a lovely oval stake-and-strand willow basket. This 2 day workshop will enable you to make your perfect shopping basket with methods and techniques including an underfoot tied slath base, English rand weave and a traditional Somerset handle. You will also learn how to grow, harvest and prepare your willow ready for weaving.  This workshop is more suitable for very adventurous beginners and those with existing basket weaving experience. 9.30am – 5.30pm Cost £175.  This includes all materials and refreshments. Tools provided.  Lunch available at an additional £12.50 cost per day.  Maximum 6 participants.

Sarah is teaching all Willow Day Workshops at a lovely venue in mid Devon and has teamed up with the nearby Lost Kitchen restaurant (www.lostkitchen.co.uk) to offer you a delicious lunch too! Workshop held at Chevithorne Village Hall, Chevithorne, Tiverton, Devon EX16 7PU.  (15 minutes from Junction 27 of M5).
