A selected member of the Maker’s Guild in Wales, Clare creates beautifully crafted baskets inspired by the Pembrokeshire landscape, using willow she grows herself on an organically managed, biodiverse field.
Her work has received national recognition, including a commission from the National Museum of Wales. In this talk, Clare will share insights from her research into historic Welsh basket forms, such as the Cyntell, Penclawdd Cockle Basket, and Llangwm Back Pannier, and reflect on the value of preserving traditional craft through high-quality research.
