BA 50th AGM

What’s happening?
The theme of the day is hats. There will be a talk by Veronica Main MBE entitled “A hat is a basket you wear on your head!”. Follow Veronica on a gentle amble through the skills of straw plaiting and discover the many ways they cross over into basket making. Earlier this year Veronica was presented with the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Basketry by the Worshipful Company of Basketmakers.

Competition: Woven hat challenge
We were very pleased to receive many entries for our woven hat challenge and the competition is now closed for entries. The hats will be judged by Veronica Main MBE and the winner will be awarded the Barbara Maynard Challenge Cup for the year and £50.

   2. Approval of the minutes of the 49th AGM held on 21 October 2023
   3. Reports by the officers of the company
   4. Election of the examiner for the accounts

A copy of the minutes of the 49th AGM, the accounts and officers reports for 2023/24 will be available to download from the Governance page of the BA website. These will be fully available before the AGM on the 19 October 2024.
