Beginners Round Basket

If you’ve ever wanted to make a willow basket but not known how to start, this lovely round basket is especially for you. Perfect for a small shopping trip! Drawing upon over a decade of basketry designing and teaching experience, Sarah has specifically created this basket for absolute beginners to successfully achieve in a day.
Whilst making this basket you will learn some traditional English techniques and find out about our rich UK basketry heritage. You’ll be weaving with willow grown locally on the Somerset Levels.
9.30am – 5.45pm (approx). Cost £110. This includes all materials and refreshments. Tools provided. Lunch available for an additional £12.50. Maximum 8 participants per day.
Sarah is teaching all her Willow Day Workshops at a lovely venue in Devon with a local caterer offering you a delicious homemade lunch too! Workshop held at Chevithorne Village Hall, Chevithorne, Tiverton, Devon EX16 7PU. (15 minutes from Junction 27 of M5, 5 minutes from A361 dual carriageway).
