By Amy Cox (Woven Roots)
-
Days Cottage, Upton Lane Gloucester GL4 0UT
Come join us for two days in the woods learning how to make a bramble foraging basket at Days Cottage! You will learn how to harvest and prepare bramble for weaving, how to make a hoop and weave all of these materials into a beautiful functional basket to take home.
All courses take place around a fire in the woods at Days Cottage and will go ahead come rain or shine (we have a beautiful A frame structure to shelter under!)
NB basket making can be hard on the hands so not suitable for those with painful joints
Please dress prepared for all weather as you never know what weather we will be met with!
There will be a simple, vegan lunch of soup and bread/ gf oat cakes, cheese, humous – if you wish to supplement this please bring your own supplies
Tea and biscuits will be available throughout the day
If cost is a barrier, do get in touch I’d far rather have you there than not
