The exhibition celebrates handicraft and its contribution to cultural life. Each country is invited to submit the work of a national artisan to the exhibition.
The UK Mission to the United Nations believed the exhibition would be a perfect way to celebrate Britain’s long reputation for skilled basketry.
Sarah Hatton from Hatton Willow has been asked to represent the UK and Wales and will display a Welsh Shopper in the Palais des Nations in conjunction with the celebrations for the United Nations Day.
