What's on

Inaugural Meeting of the Cylch Basgedwaith Gogledd Cymru/The North Wales Basketry Circle!

Rowen Memorial Hall, Llannerch Estate, Rowen, Conwy LL32 8YA

This is intended to be a friendly space where people interested in all things willow, natural fibres, baskets, sculpture etc. can meet and chat, with no expectations of any formal teaching.  The aim is to provide a communal space occasionally for people to come together with their own projects, to weave and socialise and have a paned/cuppa with like-minded folk.

WHERE: Rowen Village Hall, near Conwy for the full day on Saturday 31st October.  It’s a nice village hall with a little kitchen, big open space, and plenty of folding tables and chairs.  Directions can be found on the website here: Directions to Rowen Memorial Hall and Playing Field – Rowen or by typing Rowen Village Hall into Google Maps (or similar!).  Post code is  LL32 8YA.  There’s plenty of parking outside.

OPTIONS FOR LUNCH:  The hall has an oven, fridge and kettle but no microwave, so either packed lunch, or the pub around the corner the Ty Gwyn will be open from 12.  There is also the Malwen Stores Cafe which serves cakes, little lite sandwiches, coffees and teas etc. I’ll bring tea, coffee and milk/oat milk.

WHAT TO BRING:  A project to work on for the day.

COST:  £9 to cover the costs of the hall hire (it may be less depending on how many people come).  If we think this might become a more regular event, then I’ll look at setting up a proper account for it etc.

My dog, Sacha, is hoping to make an appearance.  Please do let me know though if you’d rather she didn’t attend (absolutely no problem).  If you would like to bring your dog with you, please just let me know and we can make introductions on the playing field.

Any questions, just email me, Hannah Torrance, at [email protected].
