Introduction to contemporary basketry

This introductory course will cover some of the main techniques of contemporary basketry, using mainly soft fibres. Tutor Kim Winter will cover techniques such as coiling, checkweave plaiting, twining, and random weave. You will work with a range of materials, from yarn and paper to cane and foraged fibres.

The course runs over five Tuesdays at Morley College near Waterloo, London.
