61 Westminster Bridge Road, London SE1 7HT, UK
This introduction to basketry will cover some of the main techniques of contemporary soft-fibre basketry, such as coiling, checkweave plaiting, and twining. Tutor Kim Winter will show you how to work with a range of materials, from yarn and paper to cane and foraged fibres. Beginners will learn the basic techniques and have the opportunity to practise with different materials. Those with more experience can develop their skills further through working on their own projects.
The course runs one day a week (Tuesday) for six weeks at Morley College in London, near Waterloo. For more information and to book go to https://morleycollege.ac.uk/courses/short-courses/creative-basketry-all-levels/
