Ply-Split Braiding – Get Started
By Helen Leaf
-
Lutterworth, Leicestershire, UK
On this course you’ll learn the basics of ply-split braiding, starting simply and becoming more complex over the two days, and learning the key structures and techniques that will set you up for any further exploration. You will use cords made from cotton, linen and wool; you will make three different braids and a flat mat; you will learn how to make your own cords, and you will know how to take your interest further after the workshop.
This two-day workshop will be intensive and friendly, and suitable for beginners.
The group size is small (maximum 8 people) allowing plenty of time and attention for each student as needed.
