Nantgarw China Works & Museum, Tyla Gwyn, Nantgarw, Cardiff, UK

The rectangular Zarzo basket is a striking and stylish Spanish design, originally used in cheesemaking. Its elegant shape and distinctive criss-cross weave make it a satisfying project to complete in a day.

During this relaxed and friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to create your own Zarzo basket from start to finish using willow grown in South Wales. It’s a great introduction to willow weaving and suitable for beginners, as well as those with a little experience.

You’ll need to bring a packed lunch, and we’ll provide plenty of tea, coffee, and homemade cake to keep you going.

This course is £80 and is held between 10:00am and 4:00pm in Nantgarw China Works Museum, Cardiff.

All materials and tools are provided and you take home everything you make.

Please bring any refreshments, snacks and a packed lunch with you.
