Split! A weekend geek-out for the split wood community

Split! welcomes you to Silverdale for a weekend of community building with your wood wrestling basketry buddies. Bring your hazel, ash, oak, sweet chestnut, willow & any other woody species asking to be split into baskety bits. Bring your ideas, conundrums, experiments and cultural rabbit holes. Bring your buzzing brains and tired bodies to chat, hang out, play around and expand.

We ask you to be part of co-creating this event with suggestions for what you’d like to delve deeper into and ideas for what you’d like to see happen.

Starter suggestions

– Informal geek out sessions facilitated by the topic touter.

– Split!Shop created and hosted by sellers of raw materials/processed wood/products/tools

– Short courses – classes and have-a-go’s that attendees can pay for on the day. Let us know when you book if you’re interested in offering an activity

– Come On My Course noticeboard – space to share your split wood course dates/contact info
