Hexagonal weaving course

Open hexagonal plaiting is popular in South East Asia and the Far East, where bamboo is often used to make lightweight but strong containers as well as hats and fish traps.
In this course, run over three consecutive Fridays at Morley College near Waterloo, London, tutor Kim Winter will show you how to use materials like cane, plastic strapping tape and paper to make baskets and balls. You will also experiment with creating more complex patterns by cross lacing.
