Berry Basket Workshop

Come along to my workshop and learn the skills to make a small round basket perfect for collecting berries or collecting and storing eggs. You will use the traditional stake and strand technique, beginning with weaving the base before learning how to insert uprights, weaving the sides and border and adding a pegged handle.   You will use willow from the Somerset Levels together with some willow from the Bojorrow withy beds which will add colour to your finished piece.

This course is aimed at beginners or those with a small amount of previous experience and is aimed at adults 18 years and over.  The number of participants is limited to 6 per workshop meaning that lots of individual attention can be given to each attendee.

Tools, materials and refreshment provided – a packed lunch will be required.
