Round Shopping Basket with Judi Evans

This two day workshop is designed to cover core skills and techniques used in stake and strand basketry to make a round shopper that is perfect for trips to market.

We will start by looking at the importance of material selection ,then go on to make a round base . Throughout the course you will learn a number of weaves including pairing , waling , French and English rands, as well as how to drop a 4 rod border , insert and wrap a handle bow ,finishing with a very attractive herringbone weave around the border.

At the end of the two days you will leave with a set of new repeatable skills and a beautiful round shopper .

Suitable for beginners and for those with some experience who may like to explore variations in some of the weaves
