Tim Johnson Course 18th-20th July in Dolton, Devon – Inspired by Kishies and Caishies from the Orkney and Shetland Isles. Cost of the 3-day course is £260.00 from 10.00 am to 5pm.

In this workshop, inspired by Kishies and Caisies, we will make smaller baskets combining coconut fibre, sisal string and handmade cordage for the weaving elements and rush for the stake bundles. Over the three days we can expect to make 2-3 smaller baskets developing our skills and exploring variations in shaping and proportions. This course is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience.
The course is being held at Sages, Fore Street, Dolton weather permitting in the spacious gardens. For this course we will be offering B&B (one room left) in the beautiful Grade 11 listed building in the heart of the village as well as camping in the field . Jenny will be offering homemade breakfasts, lunches and dinners for anyone staying. Or you can eat at the local pub (booking is essential at The Rams Head and Royal Oak) or cook your own meals. Book a room and spend a relaxing weekend weaving and enjoying good food and company!
